Brown lab member, Swarnadeep Majumder, was awarded a Quantum Information Science and Engineering Network (QISE-NET) fellowship. Swarnadeep will be a part of the third cohort of the QISE-NET program, an NSF funded national training program for graduate students pursuing careers in quantum science and engineering (https://qisenet.uchicago.edu/overview/). QISE-NET fellows work in ‘triplets’ along with a national lab or industry mentor and a university PI. Swarnadeep will work alongside Dr. Raphael Pooser from Oak Ridge National Lab and Dr. Ken Brown. Their research will focus on characterizing large scale quantum systems and connecting lower-level metrics with higher-level benchmarks.
